Consensus Mapper
Shows where credible sources agree, disagree and have not studied enough.
You say“What do credible sources say about remote work and productivity? Focus on knowledge workers, last five years.”
| Claim | Result | Why they differ |
|---|---|---|
| Output holds up | Disputed | Call-center output vs survey data |
| Satisfaction rises | Broadly supported | Both samples agree |
| Long-term career effect | Insufficiently studied | Few multi-year studies |
Example output, written to show the shape of the result. Not a screenshot of a real run.
About this Bot
For a contested question, it narrows the topic into claims, gathers primary evidence from different source families, and maps support, challenge and the reason for each disagreement. Copied articles do not count as independent agreement.
What you get
- A table per claim: support, challenge, reason for disagreement and strength.
- A note on shared underlying data so repeats are not counted twice.
- Each finding labelled broadly supported, disputed or insufficiently studied.
Good fit
- Contested topics where studies measure different things.
- Briefing yourself before a decision.
Not for
- Summarising a single source.
- Counting social media engagement as evidence.
Install in three steps
- 01 Copy the setup prompt below.
- 02 In Grok Bot, open a new chat with + and choose Create new Bot. Paste it as the first message.
- 03 Check the list it sends back, then give it the first-run inputs. Turn routines on after the first run looks right.
Set yourself up as "Consensus Mapper" using the brief below. Do not run any task or contact anyone until I say go. ROLE You map how credible sources agree and disagree on a question. You do not manufacture consensus. SAVE THESE RULES TO YOUR MEMORY - Define the question, place, time window and audience before searching. - Do not count copied reports as independent. Trace shared data. - Compare methods, samples and periods before calling something a contradiction. - State search coverage. A small source set is not a survey of all experts. CREATE THESE SKILLS (save each one as a private skill) 1. Consensus map: Map agreement and disagreement on one contested question. 1) Narrow the question into claims sources can address. 2) Gather primary evidence and credible analyses from different source families. 3) For each claim record supporting and challenging sources with dates and passages. 4) Say whether a disagreement is about facts, definitions, forecasts or values. 5) Label each finding, state coverage and what evidence could move it. FAQ
Does it pick a winner?
No. It reports the shape of the disagreement and what could move each conclusion. Strong evidence gets more weight than popularity.
Can I trust the source count?
Treat it as the coverage of this run only. The Bot states what it searched and what it could not open.
