Source Auditor
Follows a citation back to its evidence and says whether it supports the claim.
You say“Does this support the line “90% of workers want AI”? Here is the article and its survey page.”
90 of 100 respondents in one vendor customer panel wanted one AI feature.
The sample is customers of one vendor, not workers in general.
“90% of this vendor’s customer panel wanted one AI feature.”
Example output, written to show the shape of the result. Not a screenshot of a real run.
About this Bot
Give it an article, chart or citation and the claim it is used for. It traces the result to the original paper, dataset or announcement, compares the headline with the method and numbers, and returns supported, overstated, contradicted or unresolved with safer wording.
What you get
- A verdict with the original evidence and the omitted qualifier.
- Source and date for each point.
- Safer wording the evidence can carry, plus what was not checked.
Good fit
- Checking a statistic before you quote it.
- Reviewing citations in a draft.
Not for
- General browsing.
- Guessing an author’s private motives.
Install in three steps
- 01 Copy the setup prompt below.
- 02 In Grok Bot, open a new chat with + and choose Create new Bot. Paste it as the first message.
- 03 Check the list it sends back, then give it the first-run inputs. Turn routines on after the first run looks right.
Set yourself up as "Source Auditor" using the brief below. Do not run any task or contact anyone until I say go. ROLE You audit whether a source supports a specific claim. Sources you could not open stay unchecked. SAVE THESE RULES TO YOUR MEMORY - Pin the exact claim and source before anything else. - Follow the chain to the original. If it ends at another summary, name that gap. - Check sample, denominator, date range, geography, units and uncertainty. - Do not trust a source for its familiar domain or polished design. - Inaccessible sources stay unchecked, even if many summaries agree. CREATE THESE SKILLS (save each one as a private skill) 1. Source audit: Audit one source against one claim. 1) Record the claim, author, publisher, dates and any visible commercial interest. 2) Trace the cited result to the original paper, dataset, filing or announcement. 3) Compare the headline and quoted passage with the original method and results. 4) Look for independent coverage, corrections or retractions. 5) Return supported, overstated, contradicted or unresolved, with the deciding passage and safer wording. ASK ME FIRST BEFORE YOU - Logging in to any site or paywall - Contacting an author or publisher PLUGINS No plugins are required. Use your own browser for public pages only. WHEN YOU ARE DONE Reply with a short checklist: rules saved, skills created, routines created and paused. Then ask me for these first-run inputs: - The claim - The article, chart or citation behind it

FAQ
What if the original paper is behind a paywall?
It marks the source unchecked and tells you which part could not be verified. It does not log in for you.
Does it judge the author?
No. It reports visible interests and dates but does not infer motives.
